It is March 26, 2016. Right now I am suspended in mid-air some 30,000 feet after spending 3 weeks in California.
As the sun awakens, I am reflecting on 2016 and God’s grace. My year has been amazing so far! I have traveled more this year than at anytime in my life. I have been from Minneapolis to Columbus to Pittsburgh to L.A to Seattle to L.A. They call it work, I call it workcation!
Of course I have worshipped with my brothers and sisters in Christ. One thing I have confirmed we get fed very well at Eastern Star Church. I am not speaking disparging about any church, I just can’t wait to get to the place where Jesus is exalted AND the Word is explained!
Speaking of which, Easter is my birthday in Christ – I am 22 years old in Christ! I remember the day as if it were yesterday, that decision is the reason I am the woman I am today. Far from perfect, but forgiven!
But I digress. I have also enjoyed a variety of delicacies while remaining cognizant of eating clean and the fast – well for the most part (lbvs). All I can say is Tempura Green Beans were like manna from heaven!
Not to mention, the cute new enhancements to my wardrobe that I found while bawling on a budget! I found a khaki blazer at The Limited for $13 – that works perfectly over a sheath dress in a frigid office. Yes, I went down Rodeo Drive and Melrose but I merely window shopped and prayed for the day when I will be able to buy $995 white leather pants. For now I recognize I have champagne taste on a tap water budget but oneday…although if and when I can afford them I will still wait for a sale!
In short, I am amazed at the doors God has opened for me! Yes, I have finally found my purpose. Standing in front of a group of people, equipping them with the tools necessary to be successful, encouraging the group and embracing diversity gives me life. While in California, not once did I complain about going to work, in fact; I am saddened to leave Los Angeles. I miss home somewhat, but I feel a greater place for me outside of Indianapolis. Who knows California, I maybe back.
The funny thing is this is just March! Imagine what more God has in store for me (and you) the remainder of this year! My territory is enlarging, my horizons are expanding and I would be remiss if I did not take this time to say thank you! I am grateful for all God has done and I look forward to what’s next!
One of favorite worship songs says, “Spirit lead me where my trust is without boarders…” I am ready God, “let me walk upon the water, wherever you will call me”!
What doors have you seen opened in 2016?
Each of us has a purpose, a reason we are here. What is your purpose? What is the one thing you would do for free, that thing that makes your adrenaline flow?

I completed this assessment last year and discovered mine. A year later, I am getting paid to do what I love!
