34 more days of Lent but who is counting?!

I’ll be honest, ME!

I am not sure why Target has the Tide and other household items 10 steps away from Starburst Jelly Beans but it took everything within me to deny the temptation.

I even tried to rationalize I thought, ‘you can eat them and start over tomorrow’.  🤷🏽‍♀️

Then two aisles away from that was a lovely display of Barefoot Moscato and it was on sale!

Don’t judge me for drinking an occasional…I mean frequent glass …I mean bottle of wine 🍷 but keep in mind, Jesus turned the water into wi…🤭 just pray for me!

Anyway, I felt like Eve in the Garden of Eden, temptation was on every aisle.

They even had Baublebar earrings on clearance for under $4 and a statement necklace for less than $8. I thought why did I have to be so overzealous and include shopping in my fast 🤦🏽‍♀️.

Well, I successfully made it out and I only spent $70 – I went in to get Tide and cleaning supplies but had to buy groceries too…even though I had already been to the grocery 🤑

Now that I have confessed, I did purchase some fast friendly items and they all have plant based protein!

I try to ensure that I have protein with each meal, either an actual plant – kale, peanuts etc.

According to the USDA, we should consume approximately 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day (or 0.37 grams per pound). This is the minimum.

Protein is essential for building muscle💪🏾, which helps to burn fat. If you get too little protein you may find yourself weak or tired so be sure to include some at every meal.

Let me state, I am not a dietitian but I have participated in the Daniel Fast every year with my church and I have done a little research.
